Full house, full heart

Summer evening gatherings at home fills my heart. Full house of dear friends and lots of kids. People talking, drinking, eating and laughing.

The best part is that I get the chance to be creative the kitchen. There were cold new potato salad with ramson pesto, marinated tomato salad, herby butter, fresh sourdough bread, cold cuts of coppa di Stagione, pistachio mortadella di Bologna, broccoli and fava bean salad with parmigiana reggiano, burrata with brown butter, pine nuts and endives, cantaloupe melon with blue - and black berries, Caprinelle cheese and walnuts. For desert there were a chocolate cake with lemony whipped cream and strawberries marinated in mint and maple syrup.

Peonies in full bloom that fills the room with scent of spring, love and hope.
